Teardrops on my Guitar

Drew looks at me- why would drew want to look at you if he likes another girl come on I’ve got better lyrics than this.  Drew stares at me he says I am too ugly.  I fake a smile so he wont see.  What she has to fake a smile cause her teeth don’t look good.  That’s a major own.   That I want and I’m needing everything that we should be Have you ever seen your own music video at least the beginning.  He doesn’t want to go out with you get over it.  I’ll bet she’s beautiful, that girl he talks about.  No duh she is he says it at the beginning of the video.  And she’s got everything that I have to live without.  i bet she does, but your rich you can buy stuff.  Drew talks to me, I laugh cause it’s so  funny.  How can you go from being all sad to all happy.  somebody’s got mood swings.  That I can’t even see anyone when he’s with me
He says he’s so in love, he’s finally got it right,
I wonder if he knows he’s all I think about at night.  He must be in love if he’s telling you about it an he definoitly doesn’t think about you at night.   The rest of the song just follows tis stupid pattern.  I rate this song boring.

Im writing about a video from Dane in Colorado on Space issue 2.  The video was filmed in Utah on a helicopter.  This was really cool video and was a really good shot .  I have always wanted to be that close to a avalanche, but have never had the chance.  It was so cool the video one second it was thim in a helicopter and the next second it was just a big thing of snow.  I snowboard in Colorado like once a year, but have never seen an avalanche.  This was a really cool video and Inow I really want to go up in a helicopter and make my own video of an avalache.  I’ve just heard about The video is on youtube at the link Alta Avalanche.

My Week All Baseball

Baseball, it is a passion of mine I would say.  I play for a travel team based up in Rockville.  We are the Rockville Rangers and I am a catcher for them.  I play it almost everyday except for 2 .  On Mondays I go to the batting cages with my team to work on hitting.  On Tuesday I have one my few off days when I have my guitar lesson.  On Wednesday I am back on the field playing a game.  On Thursday we have a practice where we work on mistakes from the game the night before fix them. On Fridays I have another day off to relax and I usally see a moie Downtown.  Finally, on Saturday I have a practice or make-up games and on Sunday I have a doubleheader.  The doubleheader is playing 2 games in 1 day which means I am at the field from 1:00 to dark.  That is how hectic my week is with baseball, but I still find time to do my homework.  Baseball a passion of mine or just a waste of time you can figure that out for yourself.

Mini Thesis Darfur

     Most of you know that
China is hosting to Olympics this year.  You also know that Darfur is a big supplier of oil/gas to
China.  So the Sudanese Government and the Chinese Government are really close which means they have connections with each other.  You think if they were this close the Chinese Government would try to persuade the Sudanese Government to stop the Janjaweed and end the genocide.  No that isn’t happening the Chinese Government is just sitting back and watching innocent people get killed and many more displaced from their homes.

Now you know what we all need do boycott the Olympics.  If they want to just sit back and watch the genocide, then we will just sit back and not watch the Olympics.  Steven Spielberg has already joined the act and Mia Farrow actually came up with the name the Genocide Olympics.  So come on everybody let’s show
China that this is important and give them the least watched Olympics.

Finally, my problem is that should a country like
China who seems to not even notice the genocide be able to host the Olympics.  This is a worldwide event and the genocide is more than a world wide event.  So if
China doesn’t care about the Darfurians I don’t care about the Olympics.  So everybody join with me and let’s boycott the Genocide Olympics.

Students Teaching Students

Last night me and some other students and teachers had a skype chat to talk about our International Awareness for Darfur Day. We were talking to teachers from all over about our project and another student. We were just talking about general stuff about the project. This project is going to raise awareness for Darfur which you all should know by now is a terrible place. We got the word out and we are trying to get over 1000 students to comment on March 6th and 7th. These teachers we were talking to were on a website were you could chat as you skype and we were also able to have the chat put on the internet. This project has turned into an interest to me because it is a global issue and nobody should have to live under these conditions. We also learned a lot from another student who had good reasoning for what he thought and he was supportive. This is our global responsiblity to do as much as we can to raise awareness for Darfur and to help stop the genocide in Darfur because this is the 5th year of this and more than 400,000 people are dead. So in conclusion save Darfur. Here is the weblog for mor information about the project.- Many Voices For Darfur

Animoto Proyecto

We recentlydid our exploding walls project.  This is a project where we broke down the barriers our classroom and went to the outside world.  My groups project was the animoto project.  We made 3 30 ssecond clips tying the book Animal Farm to propaganda and censorship.  The project was easy it was just hard to know what pictures to use and stuff.  We didn’t really have any description we were supposed to follow.  Other than that the project was good because it wasnt like normal projects we got to go outside our class to global issues.  By the way proyecto means project.

Today in class we had two Blair High School seniors come to our school to talk aboutthe genocide in Darfur. They came to our class because they are big supporters of save Darfur. They came to our class with a powerpoint to reallygive us a deep background on Darfur. They also told us about some of the things they have done to help with saving Darfur. They said they have done call-ins were people just come by at lunch and and call important people with a script and tell them about why they think Darfur should be saved. They also said they had a dinner with all student volunteers and all donated food. There they solld 200 tickets out of 200 ttickets for $20 a piece and raised over $1000. Finally they told us about the divestment plan that they are ttrying to get in place to get more money for Darfur. That is what they told us today.
