Days Of My Life

On Friday we had a skype interview with kids in Abu Dhabi.  We talked about many things including restictions on computers and books up their.  We also talked about how are schools and lives are different.  Their they have many more firewalls on their computers than us.  They also have crossed out lines with a black marker in books that are bad.  Their school is very different from are’s like how it has a indoor pool in it and how they have a little bit more technology there than we do here.  Some simalarities are that they have most of the classes we do here and that curriculium is american.  Some fact about there school is that they are one of the only schools that is a boys and girls school and that there teachers are american.  There life is different though like how they have totally different stores up there and that all their movies have come out here already.  That is like their life and stuff.

In English class we read chapters 3 and 4.  In these chapters  the rebellion is very hard the animals are still working hard because the first harvest occurred.  With this event the animals hard to work very hard to get all of the corn harvested.  The animals also learned how to read and write not well, but well enough and the commandments were shortened.  The pigs really the leaders really started to take over the farm and had the other animals do all there work. On sunday they finally get to relax a little by having breakfeast later than usal. Also they hold a meeting every sunday in honor of Old Major and the rebellion. This day is holiday so they sing the song The Beasts of England. There is also a debate between Snowball and Napoleon about who should lead the farm. Finally news of the rebellion spreads.

1. The pigs set themselves up to run the farm by being the smartest, most intelectule and5 jut having good ideas and leadership skills.
2. It suggest that the future of the dream is still there even though the pigs are actually the leaders of the farm most animals are still treated fairly.

Chapters 1 and 2 were about the animals taking over Manor farm.  In chapter one Major holds one final meeting with the animals to tell them about a dream he had before he passed. The animals have 1 last meeting with Major before he dies and they learn about taking  over the farm and they also learn about Major’s dream and the song in it.  Later Major passed away and we hear about snowball the pig.  Snowball is a vicious pig and quick in speech, he is also inventive, but not with much depth of character.  In chapter two the rebellion against the humans begins with the animals running the humans off the farm including Mr and Mrs Jonas.  Chapter two ends with the animals destroying everything that represents any human life.

The information was very helpful for knowing about the ways that advertising companies sell us a product.  This information was the only thing that was helpful everything else was kinda just a waste of time.  The essay took up time when we could have been reading animal farm which in my opinion would have been more fun and possibly more helpful.  This whole thing in my opinion could have been taken out of of the picture.  Since we have to write an essay we should have written one directed more towards real life.
